Rough Ryder’s “Bolster Stripes” Lady Leg is a beautiful pocket knife with peach seed jigged bone handles. The dark brown of the bone of the handles gives the knife a warm color that contrasts with the nickel silver bolsters, pins, and Rough Ryder shield.

The “Bolster Stripes” Lady Leg has a single mirror polished 440A stainless steel clip point blade. The blade is etched with the words “Rough Ryder”. The bolsters have a ridged striped design, which gives the knife a more elegant appearance. Combined with the bone handles and the nickel silver shield, this knife is a classic example of a traditional pocket knife. The blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blade uses the half stops and slip joints found in traditional pocket knives.

This knife is a lady leg knife. The design of the knife resembles a woman’s leg in a high heel shoe. These knives are related to bartender knives, which often had a corkscrew built into them, and were given as gifts to tavern owners or bartenders. While this lady leg design has no corkscrew, the base of the knife can function as a bottle opener.

The “Bolster Stripes” Lady Leg is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The deep brown bone handle and nickel silver fittings give the knife an elegant and refined look. Despite its good looks, this knife is still reliable and durable enough for everyday carry and use.
