Rough Ryder’s “Black Widow” Trapper is a beautiful classic pocket knife. The synthetic black jet and red coral handles have a black widow and chevron design. The pinched bolsters also feature a slant R design, and has a black widow spider design in black on red coral oval. The black and red color echoes the red hourglass of the black widow spider, which features in the shield and blade etchings.

The “Black Widow” Trapper has two 440A stainless steel blades, one clip point, and one spey. Both blades have a mirror polish. The master blade has a detailed spiderweb and black widow spider etch. The spey blade has a “Black Widow” and a design of a black widow spider. The pinched bolsters also feature a slant R design. Each blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blades use the half stops and slip joints found in traditional pocket knives.

This knife is a traditional style trapper pocket knife. Trapper knives are a style of jack knives, and are distinct for having two blades of equal length. They have a clip point master blade that is generally used for detailed cutting work. The spey blade is an all purpose utility blade, and its blunter point makes it perfect for skinning.

The “Black Widow” Trapper is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. Its striking black and red design make a unique knife that is still reliable and durable enough for everyday use.
