Rough Ryder’s “Classic Carbon” Folding Hunter is a traditional pocket knife with yellow composition handles. The handles also feature nickel silver pins, bolsters, a special Classic Carbon shield, and brass liners.

The “Classic Carbon” Folding Hunter has two mirror polished T10 carbon steel blades. The carbon steel used in these knives is easy to sharpen, but prone to rust. It is best to keep the blades well maintained, clean, and oiled. The knife has a clip point master blade and a secondary skinner blade. The bolsters have a pinched bolster shape, giving them a slight indent on each end of the knife. They also feature a slant-R embossed design. The blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blade uses the half stops and slip joints found in traditional pocketknives.

This knife is a folding hunter knife. A hunting knife is any kind of knife used for preparing game, and these knives can feature many types of blades. This knife has a clip point blade, a utility blade suited to many uses. It serves well in the home, and its folding style makes it easy to carry. The knife also has a skinner blade.

The “Classic Carbon” Folding Hunter is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The yellow composition handles combined with the pins and shield give this knife a timeless appearance. With more than ten patterns in this series, it doesn’t get much more traditional than this.
