Rough Ryder’s “Cooper Bolster” Trapper is a beautiful classic pocket knife that will only get better with age. The smooth bone handle has copper pins, liners, bolsters, and a copper shield that all look great out of the box. The slant bolsters have pinched ends and an embossed ring, and the shield has the double R Rough Ryder logo. Over time, the oils in your hand alter the patina of the copper and give it true character unique to your knife.

The “Copper Bolster” Trapper has two 440A stainless steel blades, one clip point, and one spey. Both blades have a blackwash finish for a rugged look and contrast with the copper bolsters. The pinched bolsters also feature a slant ringed design. Each blade opens with a match strike pull. Unlike a standard nail nick or long pull, a match strike pull has serrations inside the groove of the pull. These serrations allow you to strike a match with your knife. The blades use the half stops and slip joints found in traditional pocketknives.

This knife is a traditional style trapper pocket knife. Trapper knives are a style of jack knives, and are distinct for having two blades of equal length. They have a clip point master blade that is generally used for detailed cutting work. The spey blade is an all purpose utility blade, and its blunter point makes it perfect for skinning.

The “Copper Bolster” Trapper is a perfect knife for a collector, or for use as an everyday carry. The copper and bone handle complements the blackwash blades right out of the box, and with use it becomes a one-of-a-kind knife unique to you.
